Hello everyone!
Over 20 years ago, I started The Raw Connection with the mission to help customers transition their dogs and cats to a healthy diet. I launched the business in my garage with 2 Sears chest freezers, moved to our small retail store in 2006, and then moved to my current location in 2013. I am very grateful for all your support and encouragement during this amazing journey. I introduced a relatively new concept to feed your dogs and cats raw, and I will always appreciate your trust. Many of you who were in the initial group of customers are still shopping at our store today.
After thoughtful reflection on the next steps of my own journey, I realized I wanted to take a step back from the daily management of the business to focus on spending more time with our customers. As a result, I am very excited to announce that The Raw Connection has been acquired by a California-based pet retailer called Healthy Spot. The Co-Founders of Healthy Spot have very similar values to mine and their mission is closely aligned with The Raw Connection.
I would like to introduce Andrew Kim and Mark Boonnark who co-founded Healthy Spot in 2008. They have been working hard to inspire healthy pet lifestyles for the past 14 years and look forward to expanding their mission in Northern California. They are passionate about supporting the community by providing healthy pet food, quality pet products and services, as well as investing in their team members. Our entire staff and I are staying on as team members of Healthy Spot, with Stuart Allen as our new manager. I am very pleased that this opportunity will allow me to spend more time helping our customers make healthy choices for their dogs and cats. I am so grateful to my husband, Lew, who has given me so much support and continues to help us during this transition.
The Healthy Spot team spent the past few months observing the successful business practices The Raw Connection has built over the years and will slowly assimilate learnings from both ends to improve your experience. Note that we will continue to offer the ability to order your products online to pick up in store!
